Cave de Cairanne – Camille Cayran

«In vino veritas»

Le vin emblématique: La bête à bon dieu

The Cave de Cairanne was founded in 1929. It is located in the heart of the southern Rhône Valley Crus (Vaucluse), on the left bank of the Rhône river, close to the main Côtes-du-Rhône flagship Appellations.
The cellar gathers altogether 65 winegrowers who have passed on their passion for the land from generation to generation.

They work some 550 hectares of vineyards and produce quality wines within the following Appellations: Côtes-du-Rhône, Côtes-du-Rhône Villages, Côtes-du-Rhône Villages Plan de Dieu, Cru Cairanne and Cru Rasteau. They also produce organic and sulphur-free wines.

It is above all a human-scale cellar (a dozen winegrowers produce 80% of the wines) driven by the ambition to give birth to pleasant wines with strong personalities.

Grapes are picked at the very end of their ripening period. Selections are drastic. Vinifications are attentive and calibrated to perfection. All of which allows the Cellar to produce a grandiose series of wines at the top of their Appellations.
