The estate is ideally located within the Rhône Valley, right in the heart of Provence. It was purchased by Julien Adrien Latour (great grandfather) to Sir Joseph Camille de Sene de Saunier, Marquis of Gras Baron from Violès, whose family had been owning the estate since the early 1600s.
Originally, the main premises supposedly formed an old olive mill somewhere between year 1600 and 1700. A rightful inspiration for the “Provençal” name “Moulin d’Oli”. The mill wheels have been buried in the courtyard and an old pillar is still to be found in the tasting cellar.
