La Couquihado is a family estate located in the village of Violès, a stone's throw from Orange in the heart of the Rhône valley Provence.
Our human-sized estate seeks to combine tradition and modernity and to offer attractive price/pleasure ratio vintages.
The total surface (45 hectares) of the farm is frequently cradled by the Mistral wind. It extends over clay-limestone soils when it comes to the Mediterranean Geographical Indication (IGP) and the Côtes-du-Rhône Designation of Origin (AOP). And over rolled pebbles when it comes to the Plan de Dieu and Cairanne Designations of Origin (AOP).
Obtaining the High Environmental Value (HVE) certification highlighted our traditional approach oriented towards the environment.
